As for now, Mali remains almost locked to travel due to an internal conflict. Mythical places like Timbuktu with its world-famous library are out of the reach for travellers and many of the traditional Dogon villages cannot be visited. Hopefully, times will change and the beauty of this unique African civilization and culture will be again open to travel.
