It took almost 20 years to the country to recover after its communist complete closure to the outside world, but Albania is becoming slowly the Balkans' wonder destinations. Its cities with decayed buildings may be still testimonies of the not so far communist past, but its pristine nature and villages where time stood are a surprising and pleasant view. Its beaches surrounded by unspoiled nature are easily rivaling its Mediterranean counterparts minus the high density of people.
